“ Going to the Lincolnshire resort for a play and decided to stop at this place to have dinner. I ordered their Thanksgiving turkey dinner which came with soup. I had the minestrone. It was good. I had stuffing on the plate a little container of cranberry sauce a huge Florette of broccoli, lots of carrots and the turkey was good. The stuffing was OK but the turkey was covered with enough gravy for 15 people to have a turkey dinner. Next time I will order the gravy on the side. My wife had a Greek omelette which she said was good she also had a Bowl of chopped up fruit, which looked really good cause she couldn't finish it. She took the other half to go home. It was one of the nicest fruit dishes I've ever seen in a restaurant. Our waitress was named Melissa and I ordered a kids scoop of cappuccino crunch ice cream with some chocolate fudge on it, and it was good was terrific. This is a easy four star restaurant they get their gravy in order. It will be five. ”
“ Great food excellent service fantastic food lil pricey but you get what you pay for still the best hot beef in chicago and the waitress was live a member of The family she made us feel very comfy and welcomed ”
“ I'm with a group who meets here monthly for late lunch. They give us a private room. Judy is usually our server, she always makes the experience fun. I've enjoyed many of the items off the menu and have never been disappointed. The portions are generous and I always bring leftovers home to enjoy later, a good value for the money. They are only open Thursday thru Sunday, which is sometimes disappointing, but I know I'll always get a great meal with amazing service. ”
“ Excellent for what it is - a family restaurant. Has an old-fashioned soda fountain; lots of ice cream choices. We went twice; once for dinner and once for breakfast. For dinner, good variety of food that was too much for we middle-aged people to eat - but we still shared an excellent turtle sundae. For breakfast - we made special requests and they were met - 4 pages of breakfast items! Service was excellent; answered all our questions and came back every 20 minutes to check on us. Reasonably priced. ”
“ Ever since I was little I have wanted to come here for ice cream. I was in middle school when my dad and I first drove past this on our way to a school field trip to the Berto Center. He said no that day when I asked, and ever since then when I've driven past it I've thought to myself "I'm going in there one of these days". Well the other day I drove past it again and I finally made the plans to do it. I looked at the reviews a little disheartened that it was 2/5 stars. I didn't experience 2/5 service, I experienced 5/5 service. It was cute in there, paintings of buffalos on the walls. Felt nostalgic. The waitress was patient, kind, and made great recommendations. My friends ordered food, and I waited to just eat ice cream. I did have a few bites of food, one friend had gotten a salad with a some sort of sweet dressing, and chicken salad in it. I don't remember what it was called, but I wouldn't order it myself. The cheese curds I tried though were great! On to the best part - the ice cream. We ordered one to share and it came with like 5 scoops, toppings, and whip cream. It was great, and not inflated in price. I think it was around $12 for that monster bowl of ice cream. The food is OK but i'd recommend coming here for the ice cream! ”
